Advice and guidance

A consultation helps you understand the next steps, questions to ask providers and the decisions your family needs to make. You can use this guidance while making your own arrangements.

Coordination where agreed

If you need more hands-on support, we can help coordinate with relevant funeral directors, transport providers and receiving arrangements in Nigeria. Responsibilities, services and fees are agreed with you before we proceed.

Support from the first conversation to arrival

  1. Tell us about your circumstancesLet us know the country and city involved, the intended destination in Nigeria and any arrangements already underway.
  2. Agree the support you needWe establish whether advice, coordination or a combination is appropriate, and confirm the scope and fees.
  3. Coordinate the agreed arrangementsWhere instructed, we liaise with relevant providers about documentation, transport and receiving arrangements. Requirements depend on the countries, authorities and providers involved.
  4. Keep the family informedAgreed services, progress updates and expected dates can be recorded in your family app. Updates may also prompt a short email asking you to sign in.

Local understanding, wherever you are

Ade brings more than two decades of funeral-industry experience, including experience in Nigeria and the UK. We support arrangements across every state in Nigeria and the FCT, with the level of support agreed for each family.

Repatriation and funeral costs are quoted for the individual arrangement. Travel dates and completion times depend on the relevant approvals, documentation and provider availability; expected dates are distinguished from confirmed dates.

Questions families ask

Can you help if the death occurred outside the UK?

Yes. We offer guidance and coordination for repatriation to Nigeria from countries worldwide, subject to the requirements and availability of relevant providers.

Do we have to book full coordination?

No. You can choose an advice-only consultation or agree additional coordination if you need it.

Should we confirm a burial date straight away?

Speak with us and the relevant providers before committing to fixed travel or funeral dates. We can help you understand which arrangements still need confirmation.

A conversation can make the next steps clearer.

Speak with Ade before committing to arrangements. We will explain how Royal Funerals can support your family.
